Bernina 1040

This 1040 is similar with that of the 1230. They only differ with the panel attached below the the two adjustment knobs in front of the machine.

Most problem of this unit is the adjustment on the width. It occasionally skipped stitches and goes back to normal stitch. The cause of this might be on the knob that has almost used up since this machine was made.
The soldered part that keeps the knob attached to the board might not already been secured and has to be soldered again.

Like most machines, it also has its own set of foot attachment numbered from 0 to 9.
Whether it is a 1230, 1240, 1090, 1008 model of Bernina. They all have the same parts inside. It is run with a number of motors including a separate motor for bobbin winding.
